Dear Sir/Madam,
This is to inform you that I am an international (Indian) graduate student currently studying in United States and I like to invite my mother & aunt over here to attend my graduation ceremony which will take place in the month of May, 2009. I had a few queries regarding that and thats why I am writing to you.
I will have to be the sponsor for their visit to US. I checked your web-page. But still I have some questions.
First of all, what is the least amount of money I need to show that I have in my bank account? And if they take an appointment for visa interview in coming December, do I need to provide them with my bank statements for the last 3-4 months? I have around $8000 in my bank. Is that enough for both of them?
My own brother is also a graduate student in USA and he can help me financially if I need regarding this visit of my relatives. For that does my brother also need to fill up all the documents as a co-sponsor or he can just send a notarized official approval letter telling that he is going to help me with his money for this purpose and also including letters showing his bank statements, salary certificate.
My visa has been expired in June,2008. And my I-20 will expire in May,2009. Will there be a problem for them to get the visa because of that? And also is it no way possible for them to get a visa with more than 6 month's validity ( as my brother's I-20 is upto 2011) ?
I am really sorry that I appear before you with a bundle of queries. But it will be very very helpful to know the answers of them. Thank you in advance for helping me out and reading through this large email. I will be awaiting your reply.
