  • Sequence of docuemnts to be presented

I am here on H1B and sponsoring my mother to visit me and she is going to appear for visa interview at Delhi on coming friday. I have some confusion regarding presenting/giving documents to visa officer.

What document she should give to VO initially ? just passport, DS Forms and HDFC receipt ? or can she include some other letters ?

Along with other sponsor documents, I have provided her "Visa request Letter to the Consular General requesting him to grant my mother a visa" and "Invitation Letter for my mother inviting her to visit me". Also she has a "Cover Letter describing her background and intention to come back".

Can she include "Visa request letter" and/or "Cover Letter" with Passport and DS Forms ?

Or should those be presented ONLY if asked ?

    Please Help !!!

No particular sequence. Usually, it is okay to present relevant docs when a question is asked. However, the VOs many times do not want to see anything and they will either glance through it or return it.

The way one answers the interview and proves ties determines 90% of the result and the rest is just 10% probably.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
