parents got visa at delhi

My parents got visa at delhi embassy yesterday. This website and the forums were great help in preparing for the interview. For the benefit of others, here are the details:

The interview was in english. I prepared and sent all documents from here as per the website. Also, my parents prepared all necessary documents given on this website. The lady VO was very nice and did not see any documents at all. The following questions were asked:

To dad:

Are you Retired?
No
Where do you work?

How many years have you been working?
xxxxxx
When did your son go to US?
xxxxxx
What does he do there?
xxxxxx
Have you been to US before or applied visa before?
No
How many children do you have?
One


To Mom:

What do you do?
I am a homemaker and opted for VRS in 2000.

Where did you work?

That was all. My parents collected passports at VFS center in new delhi today through rush service. Thanks again to all helpful members in forum and this website. If anyone has any questions, I will be happy to answer if I know.

I am trying to book an appointment for my mom for about a month in Punjabi, but I am unable to get one, As the web site says, no appointments are available. Can I book an appointment in English, as the interview appointments are available in English. Can my mother request for an interview in Punjabi or Hindi on the day of Interview. The interview is going to take place in Delhi.

My parents interview was in english and I did not attempt to take any appointments in hindi/punjabi. so, I am not sure about this. Even if she is a little bit fluent in english, u can book your appointment in english.

im ragha,doing masters in usa.i would like to thank you for posting ur help.im attanding my graduation in june 2009.i would like to invite my parents and husband for my graduation.my husband is working for special protection force ,police department.he is working from past 7 years.they all can sponcer for themselves.when i tell my situation to anyone they were telling may be ur husband cant get visa bcoz,vo may be doubt about u both can settle here.so really im worried about it.i am trying to read foruma nd im in process but till know i didnt fine answer for my problem.please please help me.thank you

Can she collect her passport the same day if she gets visa?
