It is not a problem. If the address changes after they arrive, AR11 needs to be filed.

thank you, but return ticket: we have mentioned 4months visit in DS forms n in cover letter etc...but actually be here only for 2.5 or 3 months.we are not sure what will be the I-94 duration, so planning not to book the return ticket.

is that not a gud idea to book for return ticket once she arrives ?
not having return ticket may be problem to my mother at POE?

It will always be good to book return ticket also. You must have read in this forum that some times at POE, the IO is asking about the return ticket. In my opinon, since your parents are comming for the first time, they may be allowed to stay for 6 months even if they would have mentioned a stay of 4 months in DS form.( Of course it all depends on IO at POE and your parents answer)
For example, I mentioned 2 months stay in USA in my DS 156 form. At POE, I was allowed a stay of 6 months but I returned after 1 month stay.
So, you can book tickets assuming they will stay for 6 months. You can always prepone the ticket.
Also I am not sure the airlines book one way ticket. Please check with your preffered airlines.

A two way open ticket works fine. The return date can be left undecided but the ticket can be purchased to prove return intent. Though many people never get asked this unless they are frequenting US, it is always a good to have.

The airlines will issue any type of one way ticket.

yep, airlines will issue one way ticket, else how can people manage coming on other type of visas(L1 and H1) with one way ticket?

txh1b, AR11 will be filed whenever theres an adress change, irrespective of parents visit, to my understanding.

anyways we make a shift on sep 28th and do all formalities(filing AR 11) by the time my mom arrives here on Oct 5th or so.
