B2 visa for a Canadian PR holder

Hi there,

My friend is having canadian PR and he was working in U.S on H1B. We are not sure if his H1B got cancelled or still valid(we hav got to check with the employer about this). We just want to know, how long does it take to get his B2 visa done to visit visa on a temporary basis from Canada.

Please advise if there exists any other ways
