Can L2 Visa Holder sponsor for Parents to obtain Visitor visa

Hi,

My wife is on L1 visa and I am on L2 visa. Both of us are working.

We are applying for Visitor/Tourist visa for my parents. As I am L2 Visa, I was told that I can't sponsor for anyone as my Visa is a dependant visa though I am working. So My wife has prepared the sponsor letters and I-134 etc.

is this be OK? Or I only should sponsor for my parents?

In DS 156 - For Question 25. "Name and Telephone Numbers of Person in U.S. Who You Will Be Staying With or Visiting for Tourism or Business"

Do we have mention my wife's details or my details or both of us details for the above question?

Also for Question no 28. "Who Will Pay For Your Trip?" - Should we have to mention my wife's name as she got the I-134 or both of us?

I-134 shows the details of my Wife only.. Pls let me know..

Biggest misconception: Visitor visa needs a sponsor.

No, it does not need one. Any person in us can choose to provide additional support letters to their relatives. They have to qualify on their own.

You mean to say that there will not be any problem if my Wife sponsors for my parents.

Please give your input for the following questions too...

1.Will there be any questions at the consulate why I am not sponsoring and why my wife is sponsoring? What would be the best answer can be told by my parents. Pls let me know?

Anyone can sponsor. There is no requirement to have a sponsor.

1. Think truth. VOs know the ties between Husband, wife and family. You should know the reason better than me as a stranger.

2. Does not matter.

3. Whoever filled the I-134. It does not matter though unless both of you have different residence.

I am working on L2 visa. Am i eligible to sponsor my parents visitor visa or it would be better if my husband sponsor it?
