Visitor visa to my mom

Hi,

I am on H1 and wanted to sponsor B2 for my mom in Jan 2009.
My question is I would be visiting to India for a short trip in Jan 2009, so at the same time I am planning to take her to Chennai consulate for B2 Visa.Can I do this or not ?

Because as per the document list of sponsor I would need to give copy of my passport and I94 to my mom but I am in India at the same time.

Also, how do I get a Telugu translator in the vfs site when booking for an appointment.

Kindly help me out on these queries.

She must interview alone.

Regional language is requested when you book appointment. Be advised, these may be difficult to obtain.

You being in India at the time has no impact on her appointment/interview plus or minus.

Thanks for the info.

But my worry is that my mom would need to take the photocopy of my passport and I94 and then it will be clear that I am in India only.
So, not sure will that be a problem or not ?

And regarding translator when I am filling the details in VFS site, I had selected Telugu for language of interview but it did not specify me whether I got a translator confirmed or not. So how do I make sure I get a translator ?
