Hi All,
I wanted to join my husband for 4 weeks who was on an official visit to NJ for a period of 3 months. For the first time when i attended the interview in Chennai, the Consular officer asked me couple of questions like my salary, my husband's salary and about my job, how long i have been working and few other general questions. I answered all but when he asked for the leave letter i did not have it. After that he just gave me 214(b) and told that he cannot issue the visa.
Again i applied for the tourist visa (B2) after a month and a half, this time i was well prepared for the interview with all the documents and also a leave letter from my company for period of 4 weeks.
The officer just asked me 2 questions what was my salary and my husband's salary, when i told her the salaries of both of us she told me that how can the salary change from last interview to this interview? i was shocked to hear this and i told that it was the same and showed the bank statements for past 6 months. I hope she was convinced... seeing the bank statements that i was not lying to her... That is all she asked me and again she gave me a blue slip 214(b) telling that i have no reason to return to India so she cannot issue me the visa.... inspite of telling her that i need visa only for 4 weeks and i have to join back the work.... she did not issue the visa
Why is that i dint get the visa this time? Was it because the salary was not matching?? But it was the mere mistake of the consular officer who had entered the details wrong or what could be the reason?
PS: I had also applied for my son (10months old) along with my visa.... Unfortunately his visa also got refused 2 times for no mistake of his......
Could some tell me what could be the reason and would i not get the visa at all to visit US of A ?
Regards
