Hello,
I need some information regarding the visitor visa. I'm trying to get my father to the US on a visitor visa.
1. Is anyone allowed to accompany my father to the interview. Will they be allowed inside and to the counter? I will be in India when he will visit the consulate, so can I accompany him ?
2. I got a H1 extension few days back. So when I go to India, I'll need to go to the consulate and get my visa stamped again.
Will it be a good idea to schedule the interview in such a way that both me and my father go at the same time and I can be with him while he is being interviewed ? Will they allow me to go to the counter with him?
Or should i be getting my visa stamped first and send him the new visa copy so that the office does not think that my visa is expired and he is not sure about the renewal.
3. If I send my father and sister to the interview, will they go to the counter together or will they be sent individually? I know we will have to fill different applications but was not sure if they will go to the counter together or individually. Will the presence of my sister with my father do any good to my fathers chances of getting a visa. My sister is married and my brother in law is working in a MNC in India. My father is alone and was rejected visa two times last year on the 224b clause. (Potential Immigrant).
Thank you so much...
Tilak.
