  • inviting father and brother

    Hi,
I am Phd student at Wayne state univ, detroit. I would like to invite my father(60yrs) and brother(35yrs, married) for visiting me. I have done my maters at Texas A&m university and I have graduated in dec-2007. i have requested in A&M for grad walk in december-2008 and also invitation letter for visit from Wayne state univ.
I have mentioned the address in ds forms as texas address, is that one will be a problem?
Should I tell in the cover letter that they will be there in texas for one week and rest of the period stay in detroit?
purpose of the visit is graduation and tourism?

    Thanks in advance

Are you currently staying in Texas? If not, why did you specify that address?

I am currently staying in detroit.
The reason mentioned that is that they will be coming to dallas, texas, first.
Can I add the address on the DS forms with a pen now?

If you are graduating from A&M, why are they going to Dallas and not College Station?

You should mention the address where you live as that is where they will spend most of their time. On the flight, on arrival and departure record, they can mention the temporary address and then file AR11 later on during their stay to follow the book to the letter.
