B2 Visa for family

Hello,

My elder brother is in USA since last 6 years on H1B visa. I wish to apply for tourist visa for my parents, my younger brother and myself. Is it that we wont be able to convince the visa authorities that we will return back to India if all 4 of us apply together.

Do you advice that I should apply only for my parents now and then later for myself and my younger brother. Becoz they will get the visas stating that they have 2 other kids back in India which is good enough a reason to turn back.

Please suggest.

That is a trick that VOs know well.

During a group interview, each applicant is evaluated individually. Your parents could be granted a visa and you not.

Taking documents showing childrens ties to both country and parents can be interpreted as a reason both parents and children would return.

Since you have not even tried once, you all should prepare the documents and appear together with the positive attitutude that you will receive visa. Post back if you do not for more suggestions.
