Hi,
I completed my MS in May 2008, and i decided to attend the grad ceremony on May 2009. My brother is on H1 here. We would like to invite our parents in the month of January as my Sister-in-law is pregnant. So, i thought of issuing an invitation letter to them for my convocation in May 2009. Do you think applying for a visa with my convocation invitation is better or on behalf of my brother is better. Or is applying through sponsorship from my brother as well as my invitation letter for convocation is better?.
I have been adviced differently from different people. So i am left confused. Some say it is risk to tell them both sons are in U.S. some say through convocation has better chances, some say through my brother. Could you please guide me regarding this matter. They need to be in U.S in Jan 2009. So they need to go to visa interview during the next month. Do you think it is too early if they go on behalf of my convocation invitation.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
