missing surname field

If the surname field is blank will the first name be given as FNU if visa is approved?

In the given names of my passport I have both last name(fathers name) and first name listed ( as with my old expired passport). This was not a problem before as I had visa issued correctly before with my old expired passport with surname correctly added.

Let me know if somebody has similar problem...
