Dosuments needed to sponser Visitor Visa to USA from UK

Hi,

Can someone tell me what is the documents required to sponser a vistor visa to USA for a person traveling UK(Indian Citizen).

The person is travelling from USA to UK and needs a UK visa or traveling from UK to USA and needs a US visa?

Sponsor documents in principle have to show legal status of sponsor (Visa, I-94 etc.) and availability of funds (bank statements, job letter, tax returns etc.), also purpose and duration of visit can be specified by writing an invitation letter to the visitor.

But remember the visitor has to apply for their own visa, sponsor cannot apply. In fact there is no need of a sponsor, if visitor has a good purpose of visit, sufficient funds and a reason to return to home country, they do not need a sponsor at all.

Thanks kabkaba for the reply. But the person travelling is my sister and she is studying in UK she doesnt have enough funds to show. So i need to sponser her in that case. So is that the only documents needed to sponser her.

Do i have to send an handwritten or a computer printout with my sign as the invitation letter.
