Hello to all,
As I read most of the threads I assume this site is mostly used by Indians. Well I am not, I am from Turkey and very curious about this visa issue.
I visited states in 99 with 6 months visa applying extension to INS. I left the country 2000 (after 1 year)before I heard from INS. I didnt work, I didnt study, I just spent one fine year away from all the responsibilities. anyhow after I came back I applied in 2002 and got rejected, reapplied in 2003 got rejected and finally couple of days ago I reaaplied to attend my husbands business trip in Hawaii and I unfortunately lied. I listened my boss's advice. She said "lie about your first visit and never mention that you were rejected". It was a terrible mistake but I thought she has very strong ties with the embassy therefore she wouldnt mislead me.
The office found out that I was lying and said when you wanna tell the truth come back.
I have visited many countries such as UK, Hong Kong, China, Italy, Germany etc. My documents are totaly correct. Married for 6 years,Have papers from my husbands quater in States, good sum of money in the account, I am working in the same business for 6 years and so forth.
I was wondering what if I reapply and be realy honest with the facts with accepting that I made a mistake, and make myself clear that I dont have any intension to immigrate whatsoever, would it change their decision or am I already blacklisted because of lying and there wont be any chance for me to grant a visa anymore.
The worst part is this trip is that it is Hawaii. Evertying was gonna be paid from my husbands company. It is only 5 days long and it is once in a life time oppurtunity. I am terriby sorry that I have taken my boss' advice and I lost my chance.
I would be appreciate if you comment about my situation.
Thank you for your time in advance,
Peace,
