Applying for H1-B visa while on B1/B2

Hi all,

I am getting married in March and my fiancee plans to apply for H1-B this year so she can start working from October. In the meanwhile, she has a B1/B2 visa from her current employer which she can use to visit me for a couple of months after our wedding. I heard that applying for H1-B while in US on B1/B2 could lead to complications - would it be better for her to apply for H1-B from India itself and come here after April 1st? Would there be no complications in that case? The other option is to come here on a dependent visa (I am on OPT) for the summer - and then do a COS to H1-B if she gets approved. Please advice which is the better option.

B1/B2 are for visits and COS from it is not recommended. Applying for H1b and visiting on B1/B2 are not related. She could still visit on B1/B2 and go with a CP on the applied H1b.
