Visitor Visa/ Interview

Hi

We have scheduled our interview appointment in the month of December 2008 to try and secure a Visitors visa (my parents stay in the US,,Dad is working), whereas we intend to travel only in the month of April 2009. Please let me know whether it is alright to go ahead with the interview next month or should I postpone it to a later date, say in the month of March?

What would happen if ever I attend my interview next month and am granted visa for just 1 month or 3 month? It would be impossible for me to travel to US before April since my kids exams end only in March.

You can travel at any time before the expiration date of the visa stamp. If you want to travel past that date, you will have to get new visa.
