Sponsor's NRE account statement

I have already got letters from US banks regarding my account with them. However, I want to include my NRE bank account statements also since I have most of my deposits in these accounts.

Will the counsulate accept NRE statements for this purpose? If yes, is there a specific format in which they should be prepared?
