question on h4 stamping

i have an appointment for my h4 visa renewal at chennai consulate. i have a 4 month old daughter who is an american citizen. can i take her inside the consulate when i go for an interview. since it is given in the website that the persons with appointments only can enter the consulate. i am worried whether i can take her inside with me or not ? please reply soon
