Applying for Tourist Visa with Wife, Any advice?

Hi All,
I am a guy of 39.5 years old and my wife is 39 years old.
We have two kids of 14 and 11 years.
My parents also reside along with me.
I was planning to apply for a tourist visa along with my wife next month, I am not applying for my kids visa. I intend to attend my cousin's wedding in the US.
I was denied a tourist visa once in 1988.
My only brother is in the US for the last 18 years and is a Green Carder.
My parents have visited him about 4 times in the last 10 years.
I own some land and house in India.
I was looking for some advice on how to prepare for my supporting documentation.
Any help is appreciated.

i think you should bring your children along coz u can say your kids are studying (if so) and u will return soon.

On the contrary, I feel that by not applying visa for your kids, it will make the fact stronger that you have to return back.

But it all depends on the consulate officer's mood! Good luck
