Hello All,
Does anyone have any experience with the wait time for administrative processing through the embassy in Rangoon, Burma? My mother-in-law applied for a tourist visa about 6 months ago, they told her there would need to be administrative processing, and after a lot of digging and complaining to the embassy, they told me the details - she is going through a visas donkey security advisory opinion. This is related to her working for a Burmese government agency and the sanctions the U.S. has on Burma (some presidential proclamation -- 212(f)).
After all the waiting to get my wife's green card, then citizenship, this crap has me enraged. I hate these f*ing immigration departments and the way the federal government manages them. If the company I worked for was as inefficient and incompetent as these organizations are, it would have gone out of business a long time ago .
