Visitor Visa for in-laws - emergency visa

We would like to bring my in-laws on visitor visa.

My wife is expecting and due Dec last week. Suddenly she had serious problems and doctors asked her to take complete bed rest.

We would like to bring our in-laws ASAP. Atleast my mother-in-law. We desperately need their help. We got appointment scheduled for Nov'2nd and I am checking TTS Visa site for any possible reschedule. No luck so far. My mother-in-law visted us during 2000.

I would like to explore the ways I can bring them (her) ASAP.

1) Is there any emergency vistor visa on medical basis.

2) In their documentation I prepare, do I need to mention that we need them for medical or pregnancy reasons or do we need to mention only as pleasure trip.

I greatly appreciate any leads or suggestions.

Emergency visa applications can be done at Delhi and Calcutta even if you are from the south..I am assuming u had appt for nov 2 in Chennai. Mumbai is backlogged....

My inlaws can not speak English,otherwise I would have send them to other consulates.

Hi,

It is always not advisable to use pregnancy reasons for visitor visa as it is construed as the employment opportunity in US being grabbed by your in-laws. So I think it is better you say for visiting itself even if it is emergency.
