Self Sponsor

Hi, My parents are applying for Visitor Visa and they have good sum of money. So if it will be better that they self sponsor them or I should send sponsorship? I am Green Card holder in United States for last 1 year only. I know this question was there in FAQs but to whatever agent my parents go, agents first ask about sponsorships.
