Interview Language -B2 Visa

Hello,

I am applying for a B2 Visa for my parents. My parents are in India. My father would like to give the Visa Interview in English and mother in Hindi.
They would like to appear for the Interview together.

I filled te DS-156 for my father and selected “English” as the language for the interview. When I tried to add my mother as a co-applicant ,the system doesn’t provide any option to select Hindi as the Interview Language.

I have the following queries –

1.Can I select the English for my father’s interview and Hindi for my mother’s? If yes then how?
2..Should both the applicant chose the same interview language?
3.Can I select English for their Interview ? and fill all the forms and schedule their Interview.My mother will be a co-applicant and doesn’t speak English.

what if the VO asks any questions to my mother and she wont be able to reply in English.Could that become a reason for rejection?

Questions will be directed to both and one can choose to answer. However, if one is asked to answer, the other applicant be a translator. Sometimes the officers will know your language.
