Mother visa interview- query!!!

Hi Experts,

I am on H1B. I will be going US during this month. I am the only son & my mother is widow. Now I want to bring my mother in US.

If I reach US in this month after how many months can I ask my mother to apprear for visa interview & how much amount should I show to sponsor my mother?

Please guide me.

Your mother can not come with you to live with you. She can only be in the US tempoarily.

There is no timelimit for sponsoring after you come to the US, you should just have enough resources to take care of her expenses.

Yes, my mother will come on B-2 visa. Will it be safe that I stay for 3 months and after that I sponsor my mother with a total bank balance of 5000 USD?

There is no set guideline for this. A visitor, if they can prove ties to home country, can possibly succeed in getting a visitor visa. The sponsor should have enough money to support the stay. Say $750-1000/pm of stay in savings should suffice in most cases.
