Question about Drop Box -- Age specification

Hi

My mother -- a resident of Sangli, Maharashtra -- will be applying for a US Visitor Visa shortly through the Mumbai Consulate.

Please advise whether she will be eligible to use the drop box facility if applying sometime next month i.e. in May -- for a June visit of 3-4 months. She will be completing her 60th year on July 1st, 2004 (DOB July 1, 1944). In other words, she will complete 60 years during her stay here in the US.

Does her age need to be 60 years at time of application or will age at time of travel to US / during stay in US be considered too?

She will be travelling alone and is not conversant with English, so we perfer her to avoid the interview to minimize any risk of rejection.

She needs to have completed 60 at the time of interview.
She needs to go for an interview. You can ask for Marathi interpreter.
