My wife and I are US citizen and have 2 small kids as well. I have been in US for the last 9 years. This year I want to call both my parents to visit and especially spend time with our kids, the youngest they have not even meet.
My question is under the given scenarios (below) and me being a US citizen what should be our approach to prepare my parents to face the visa interview?
- My father (62 years age) has retired from his private service 2 years ago and works as an insurance agent just to keep himself busy. Has house worth 25 L, 3 L provident fund, 2 L in recievable from previous company. Sparodic income of may be 5 K to 10 K a month.
- My father is actively involved in cricket and Masonic lodge activties. He is a state panel cricket umpire, member of local cricket board and Masonic lodge crowned officer.
- My mother is a home maker and has visited us in US in 2004 to help us during the delivery of our first child. She went back in 4 months as planned.
- I have sister who is married and well settled in India.
- Usually we have been going to India every year but due to current economic scenarios in US we have not been able to go since in 2006. Also, could not go in 2008 as our son was born in Dec '07.
Can you please advice and suggest how we should approach this so that my parents can get the visa? Needless to say, I will be sending all the required paperwork i.e. sponsorship etc from here.
Thanks in advance..
