  • Regarding reentry to US

This is to seek an advice from you regarding my sister. She was here to visit me in Texas and stayed for 4 months. Recently she went back from US but wants to return back next month i.e around 2 months after she departed.
She has 5 years multiple visa. Will the entry at port of entry be a problem because of just 2 months gap in home country?

What is the reason for the visit again? It depends on the CBP officer.

      Regarding the above

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

She is my sister-in-law. The reason of visit is to accompany my mother to US; (her mother-in-law) .

      Please reply promptly

The other post should answer your question. She might have her multiple entry visa at risk if the CBP officer thinks there is some visa abuse going on. Not recommended at all.

          regarding reentry

In the same condition, can there be any other reason which might be suitable in order for her to enter just after 2 months of time in the home country.

And final advice, in this case which of the following is possible

            1. Rejection of Entry
            2. Allowed with limited period of 1 month.("Stay Limited Per SII NO EOS/COS".

            Which one?

Both are possible. It depends on the POE officer.

Thanks Txh1b for your answers ...

Well who thinks you are jobless..............you are helping of many like us.

What you have not answered in my case is what other reason do you think will be able to maximise the chance of entry.

                For example.
                1. To attend a conference of a university (possible in b1,b2)
                2. Invitation from any organisation on their program (previous it was pleasure and now the reason can be given that she came early because she was invited)

                or any reason like that.

                What do you think

She should be prepared for a short visit with any reason accompanying the travel. A business visit will possibly be okay. But usually, I-94 is given for 1-2 months on a business visit.

You cannot just make up a business visit. It should be genuine.
