Status of Drop Box Application

Hi
I would like to know is there any way to track the status of the visa applied through drop box.
We are planning to bring my mother-in-law for my delivery and it so happened that her agent applied only on April 5th for her to Chennai consulate.
We want to search for somebody who can speak malayalam as she is a first time traveller and she needs some company and also my due date is getting closer.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is no way to check status other than to ask TTSVisas(Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata consulates) or VFS(Mumbai)

when u go for the interview n enter the hall u submit the passport in the window 1st n they give u the token number ,while giving the passport in the window u can say to the person in window that u need a malyalam translator ,so they will give u the malyalam translater,n if than to the translator is not come while ur turn in interview than u can tell the counsellar that u need malyalam translator she/he will wait n in that it will be no problem or feel as it is bad immpression.

Thanks for the advice regarding translator but this person is applying through drop box and not going for an interview.

She is looking for Malalayam speaking person while traveling in the airplane.

Yeah..i am looking for some company for my mother-in-law while travelling.But thanks anyway Shalini.
Yesterday i got reply from tts that our papers are still with consulate.
