Process for B-2

I want to sponcer my mother. She was rejected 3 years back ... ( No reason given for the rejection). She is 60+.
Now after she turns all the papers at Pune VFS. What will happen.

1> Is personal interview at Mumbai a absoulute requirement, for her case?
2> Will she have to wait long time to hear from VFS people.
3> I heard that it will take a very very long time at VFS pune to process the papers and give one appointment at the consulate. how long?

Vistor Visa Procedure.

ImmiHelp,

I just wanted to double check this with you,
even after a rejection 3 years back for B-2 visa... my mother may get the visa without visiting the consulate for interview.

In that case -- will the VFS tell us ( when the papers are submited to them.)
1> You have to attend interview on such and such date.
2> You may not attend interview.

or how does that goes.

Try drop box. If they come back saying you have to attend interview, then do so.
