Visitor Visa Process at Mumbai

Hi !
My parents are going for getting visitor visa at Mumbai. Can anyone let me know what is the general procedure (like do they have to put documents in envelope etc.)after you enter in the Consulate ? I would like to make them aware of the procedure before hand.
