  • Visitor visa for my in-laws

    HI,
My mother in law is planning to apply for visitor visa. But her Last name mentioned in her passport is different to her last name mentioned in my husband's passport. So is this going to create any problem in issuing the visa?

If yes..kindly suggest what can be done to avoid any rejection of the visa.

    he
it was similar problem in my case
but we went ahead and applied for visa and it was approved, again my case could be an exception, but if you have time and can correct the mistake by name change on one of the passports, they you should try it

That will not be reason for rejection. The variations in spelling or the last name is not something to be too worried about. VOs know about the culture and variations in the country they are applying from.
