HSBC chalan question for tourist visa

Hi All,
My father-in-law had paid the application fee in HSBC. However, he had a name correction in his passport. Now he has a voided old passport and a new passport with his corrected name.

Does he needs to pay again the application fee with his new passport number. If the answer is no, then what passport number (old or new) does he needs to use for taking the visa appointment?

Any help is appreciated.

Call VFS and explain the situation. Your receipt number is associated with passport number. Or you can just take both passports and explain at the consulate.
