Today, my mother (68Y old and widow) got 10y multiple entry visitor visa on first attempt. We got all paper work perfect. She had Gujarati translator at Mumbai consulate. Following was the brief conversation
VO : Who is calling you to the US
Mother: My son
VO: What is his name?
Mother: YYYY X
VO: What he is doing in USA
Mother: He is YYYY XX
VO: What is the name of your Daughter in law?
Mother: YYYY X
VO: Why you want to visit USA
Mother: My son and his wife is entering 25th year of marriage life in May 2009. To attend this celebration and visit his family
VO: Shall I have files?
Mother gave file and VO checked quickly checked documents and told her that your visitor visa is approved. You will get your passport in few days by courier.
Mother : Thank you
She collected passport same day at VFS Mumbai counter @ 5.30 pm
