Getting parents here when I am on Student visa

Hi Experts,

I am currently on student visa working as Independent contractor in a company which will convert me to fulltime from October 2009 once my H1B is approved this year. I want to get my parents on visitor visa for graduation walk which is in May 2009.

One of the Sponsor requirement is to show an employment letter from the company saying that I am on fulltime. But in my case, I cant get it as I am working as an Independent contractor to be hired on fulltime in future .

So is it sufficient to show my monthly paystubs as proof that I am working as Independent contractor in the current company ???

Also I was wondering if my parents can self-sponsor and come over here. In that case should I fill I-134 ???

Can you really work as an independent contractor on student visa? or OPT/CPT?

When self sponsoring they dont need I-134.

If you are sponsoring, may be you can get a letter saying you work as an independent contractor in whatever company you work for.

Visitor visa

Yes I am allowed to work as independent contractor on student visa in OPT. I have clearly verified with my university International office.
