Does return ticket necessary for visitor visa holders?

Hi,

My mom is planning to travel next month from India to US.. I am not sure about exact date of her return (but not more than 3 months) and I bought one way ticket for her. Does it really necessary to have return ticket while entering into US for visitors?

Yes, return ticket is required. If you are not sure of the exact return date, you could buy open ticket.
