    Overstay and I-134

    I am curious to know what impact does the I-134 beneficiary's overstay have on I-134 provider? I have provided I-134 (affidavit of support) for my father, who got a 10 year visa and entered the US with a 6 month I-94 validity. For some reasons, he had to postpone his departure at the last moment and ended up overstaying by 2 months. What impact does this have on my pending I-485 application, or my ability to provide I-134 for anyone else in future.

    No effect on you. You are not legally liable for his actions; you liability extends only to his
    financial support.

      Harboring illegally present aliens in anyway is unlawful. If discovered, will create problems in future.
