Parents,dad(62),mother(52) and sister (23-mentally handicapped) attended interview 5th april '04,at mumbai consulate.visa rejected under 214b.Consular officer asked my dad what was his income before he retired,my father had all papers but didnot hear /comprehend properly,so didnot show his papers. The consular officer did not question my mother(she is employed & was carrying her NOC,etc) and my sister.
-Can my parents re-apply through drop-box,I read somewhere that those rejected under 214b,can re-apply through drop-box.
-Is there any option for my dad, who is a little hard of hearing, can my mother answer the consular officers question ,on my dad's behalf as well.
-What are the other options?
Thank you very much.
