B2 visa rejected for parents

Hello

My parents had the interview today and their visa got rejected for no reason. They were at Mumbai counsulate and had a Gujarati interpreter. They were on time and we had all the documents in place from both my side and their side. All the forms were correctly filled. I was sponsoring their visa.

They asked my father on what do you do and how much is your income? His reply was in xyz company for xxx amount.

Immediately they said we could not issue the visa to you and rejected. They did not even see the docs.

any idea on what went wrong and what we should do when we reapply for the visa??? Any tips and ideas welcomed. Thanks.

Documents dont get you visitor's visa, strong ties to home country and convincing reasons to return back are needed.
