query reg. period of stay

hi everyone,i was given a 10 yr multiple entry visa for my cs exam.i am going in april end to usa.i am about to get a research position in a hospital in newyork which is allowed in a visitor visa,.my q is can i go to canada for a day and come back again to usa to continue with research after my i-94 expires or is it illegal?should i come back to india and go again?how to get canada visitor visa?

Not allowed on visitor visa. Apply for the appropriate visa class. Dont try to goto canada and come back, it will not work.
