This site is really a great help. Keep the good work going.
But then again the world's not a perfect place so...

My parents are about to take a second try at getting a visitor visa and so thought this time I be extra careful. I had following Qs and would appreciate any answers clarifying these issues.

    1. Your Original birth certificate. (Required only for those applying at US consulate at Mumbai).

Do I really have to send in my ORIGINAL birth certificate, my parents will certainly be going to Bbay Cons.

    2. send copies of I-485 receipt, EAD card and Advanced Parole.
I am currently on H1 expiring in November, with 140,485, EAD, AP in process but do not have any receipts yet. Are this MUST haves? What impact does my expiring visa have on their chances of getting their visas and its duration etc.

Any help and direction is highly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mads

    birth cert

Personally, I would do what is asked. Just to clarify, an "original" birth certificate means one issued directly by the county registrar of births and deaths, with their seal on it.

    Good luck,
    Joe
