Hi,
My girl friend lives in the Philippines and wants to visit me here. We know we need to apply for a tourist visa and I'm sure she will have no problem indicating ties to the Philippines( think 2 kids staying with her sister while she is here).
A question as come up as to her needing to have "show money" or money in the bank to prove her ability to travel. However, since I will be buying the plane ticket and she will be living in my house for her visit, is it really necessary the she prove that she has the funds for the trip?
Or is it enough to prove that I have the means to cover her expenses while she is here? If so, then how do I provide statements to show I can cover her expenses. I dont my finanical informational in "unsecured" areas overseas.
