I am working in US . My current project is ending march 31st. Hence I am looking for another project after that. I am not sure when I am going to get another one. In the mean time I also wanted to invite my parents here

If my parents get a 6 months visa does this mean that they IMMEDIATELY have to come to US to visit or they can wait for any duration until I get another project and then call them here for 6 months?
