Regd. Translator at Chennai Consulate

When i took appointment i did not ask for translator, my father is OK with english but my mother might have probs. So can we ask for translator at consulate?? or it should be specified when taking appointment? Also can my dad translate for my mother.

I am also sponsoring my grandmother, she has a son here, do we need to mention that in DS-156 form? Is it ok if i did not mention in my affidavit to my parents I-134 (that i am sponsoring grandmother). Thanks

1. If you need translator, you should specify while getting the appointment. Otherwise, you may get or not depends upon whether someone is available or not.
