I am working as a Professor of Physics at the Indian Institute of technology (IIT), Kharagpur, West Bengal for the last twenty five years. I am residing at the IIT Kharagpur campus since May 1985.
Both, myself as well as my wife (Dr. Lata Rani) have their respective passports issued from the Regional Passport Office in Kolkata.
Our daughter, Bhashinee Garg, is working with the Microsoft and residing at Redmond, Washington. We are planning to visit her during the forthcoming Summer Vacation which starts at our Institute from 07 May 2009.
In order to obtain an online appointment for a Nonimmigrant Visa, we have filled in DS-156 form. Unfortunately, we are being given an appointment at
the US embassy In New Delhi. It will be extremely difficult for us to go toNew Delhi for a Visa interview. I, therefore, request you please help us by giving an appointment for our Visa interview at your Kolkata Consulate at a earliest possible date.
We shall be very much grateful to you for this kind and considerate help.
