  • visitor visa- question

    Hi Immihelp,
thank you for this excellent website. It is a great help to all of us. I am a us citizen and my wife too. I am applying for visitor visa for my parents. my dad is 72 and mom is 64. so they can use drop box.

    1) All my financial assetts are held in joint account with my wife including the house, bank acct, stocks etc. Does it mean the affidavit of support needs to come from both of us? or is just one affidavit from me is enough? ( iam emplyoed while she is not)

    2) secondaly my dad is a farmer. He has no income tax returns since he doenot pay any. Not much in the bank either. He has plenty of lands and 5 sons living in india. Is this sufficient?

    3) finally i know that i need two I-134 for both of them. Does each affidavit needs to have originals of all the documents from here or is one set enough for both?

thank you for all the help.

    1. Just from you is OK.
    2. Yes. Consular officers know that farming income is exempt from Income Tax in India.
    3. One set is enough.
