  • Visa B/2 annotation

    hi all,
I have just recieved a tourist B1/B2 visa, with the following annotation:" First Trip :Traveling with mother: YYYY (her name)"
My mother can't travel with me, and I want to travel alone...
What can I do? Does it mean I will not be allowed in the states?

Looks like you were granted visa to exclusively accompany your mom. Is she v old or with some condition that its difficult for her to travel alone and you used that reason for justification of your visa?
If so, then you are pretty much tied to doing only that for the first trip atleast.

She's not old.... But she and me wanted a visa, to travel, but seperatly.
I want to visit the US after travelling in south america, and as a connection to get there. Will that won't be acceptible? If I tell them she couldn't go because of work on the last minute, will they still refuse me? And will it harm my future visits?

You know your case best. What I said was based on the info you provided. If accompanying her was not the basis of your visa then you can travel alone, not a problem. But how will you explain you being alone if your visa was notated that way and if asked by a immigration officer?
        All the best.
