Print out of DS 156

Hello,
I am filling out the DS 156 application online at vfs-usa.co.in and after filling out the passport number, first/last names at the bottom and hitting continue, it takes me to a different page. How can I print the application with the barcode? Should I complete the appointment process to take a print out?

Yes, you need to complete the whole process to be able to print a pdf.

Thanks for the clarification. So, if I have to send this document back to India, I have to wait until my dates open up first so that I can book my appointment. Am I correct?

How are you able to fill in the form before a date being available?

The application is valid for 7 days. So, you can fill the application and save it.

True, but even before you get started, don't you have to pick a date first that is available? That is what I recall from my memory.

No, you don't need to pick the start date. Are you sure, that the application can be printed only after taking the final appointment.
