Dear Sir

My wife is an Indian and she is presently staying in Canada with my son.She wants to visit my daughter who in now a days living in USA as her husband is working there.
Can she apply for a US visiter visa for Canada?

Kindly guide me in this regard

I assume here that she is in Canada on a Canadian visitors visa.

If that is the case then, sure, she can try going to the closest US consulate and apply for a B2 visa.

But please keep in mind that US consulates generally prefers that people apply for a US visitors visa from their home country.

The reason is that when applying for a US visa the consulate would like you to prove your intent to leave the US and return to your home country. To do this you need to provide evidence of your economic and social ties to your home country.

When your wife applies for a US visa while in Canada she cannot prove her social/economic ties to India. The fact that you, her husband, are still in India does not matter because she herself is in Canada. So her ties to you are not binding i.e. cannot be taken as evidence of her intent to return.

So there is a very strong possibility that her application will be rejected and she will be asked to apply again from her home country/India.

However, she is welcome to try. If she does apply, please do let the forum know of the outcome of her application regardless of the outcome.
