B2 extension questions

https://www.immihelp.com/visitors-visa-extension/ says the following are required, but I dont see these mentioned anywhere in the instructions for completing form I539. Am I missing something? Do I really need to complete the following? Does it matter if I use eFiling? Appreciate your help.

* Copy of all pages of your passport[5] (including blank ones), which is valid for your entire requested period of
stay in the U.S.
* Proof of financial support (see Visitor Visa[6] section for this)
